As usual the main focus was on highly informative and useful technical presentations ranging from pyro-technical to electrical issues and featuring a high proportion of presentations by cement producers. A TEC presented a paper titled “Preheater Blockages” that looked at mechanical, chemical and operational causes of such blockage problems and explained the main chemical processes underlying this topic. This presentation is available upon request from our sales team.

A TEC America also presented itself for the first time with the well known burners supplier, Greco, that is now part of the A TEC Group. Our booth was visited by all the main regional cement producers and suppliers whereby the topics of conversation included our Alternative Fuels preparation plants, wet-to-dry kiln conversions, preheater upgrades and mercury abatement. The main non-technical topic was, of course, the continuing recession in the USA and Mexico juxtaposed by the boom in Brasil and neighbouring countries. With visitors from Brasil, USA and Mexico, these conversations were especially lively.
